BIO1005 – Design and Apply LED and Low-Level Laser (Class 3B) Photobiomodulation Treatments

Used in the treatment of a multitude of skin and body conditions, photobiomodulation is used for skin rejuvenation, scar revision and the reduction of inflammation within the body.
This foundation course is specifically designed to provide applicants with the skills and knowledge with which to successfully provide Light Emitting Diode (LED) and Class 3B Laser Treatments.
This course offers participants a greater understanding of when to, or not to use photobiomodulation. This is particularly important when being used in conjunction with other treatment modalities.
It offers existing therapists an opportunity to improve their skills and knowledge.
For best practice treatment delivery, prior knowledge of lasers and laser safety, skin anatomy and wound healing together with an understanding skin physiology and pre and post-treatment care is required.
Participants who are not currently working in the beauty or medical fields are eligible to enrol in this course.
